The Free Zarganar Campaign alerts the world to the unjust imprisonment of Burma’s most popular comedian. His comments to foreign journalists, mocking a government statement that cyclone survivors could exist on what they could scavenge in the countryside, contributed in large part to the jail sentence imposed in November 2008. This is the fourth time he has been imprisoned.
The Free Zarganar Campaign aims to further highlight Zarganar’s cause, mobilise worldwide opinion and press the Burmese military leaders to release Zarganar immediately.
